Who we are
Brisbane Professional College (BPC) is an Australian Government-approved Registered Training Organisation (RTO). BPC’s registration can be viewed on the Australian Government websites www.training.gov.au and www.myskills.gov.au under our RTO Provider Number 41556.
BPC is also an approved provider of education to international students and this can be viewed on the Commonwealth Register of Institutions and Courses Overseas Students by visiting the websites for the Department of Education and www.cricos.education.gov.au under our CRICOS Provider Number 03517B.
Our Campus is located at Unit 3, 305 Montague Rd West End Brisbane. The Campus is situated next to Davies Park and within two kilometres of the Brisbane Queen Street Mall which is easily accessed by walking, bus or car.
BPC currently provides quality training in automotive, commercial cookery and hospitality courses. BPC currently provides quality training in automotive, commercial cookery and hospitality courses. The West End Campus has a fully compliant mechanical repair workshop which is used to train and assess automotive students. BPC operates a commercial training kitchen at Shop 10, 455 Brunswick Street Fortitude Valley which is used to train and assess the students enrolled in the culinary and hospitality courses.


Industry Partnerships
BPC has developed strong industry relationships in both automotive and hospitality. BPC has forged partnerships with the Future Auto Group franchise group in addition to the Bosch Car Service network. BPC automotive students are able to be placed in select workshops around Brisbane that are seeking trainees to support their automotive workshops which require workers to undertake vehicle servicing and repairs.
Students studying cookery and hospitality are able to seek employment or work experience with our hospitality industry partner, Venu Plus Management which owns a number of venues around South East Queensland including the famous Beach House restaurants, Madame Wu and Chu the Phatt.
The Team
Automotive Trainers
Carlos
Carlos has been working in the automotive repair industry since 1980. Carlos completed his apprenticeship with Mercedes Benz in South Africa and since qualifying as an automotive mechanic continued to further his knowledge by completing studies in air conditioning, automotive electrical and heavy vehicle mechanics.
Nicolas
Nicolas has been an automotive mechanic since completing his apprenticeship with Honda and Mercedes Benz in 1996. Following his apprenticeship, Nicolas continued his studies in automotive by completing studies in air conditioning technology and heavy vehicles.
Geoff
Geoff completed his apprenticeship with Jaguar and Land Rover and continued his automotive experience by establishing a successful automatic transmission repair workshop. Following three decades of repairing automatic and manual transmissions, Geoff was appointed the area manager for the Institute of Automotive Mechanical Engineers before joining BPC as an automotive trainer.
David
David is a qualified automotive engineer who later complemented his tertiary qualifications in business. David continues to stay up to date by assisting workshops with complex vehicle faults and assisting apprentices and trainees to understand the complex nature of vehicle diagnostics and engineering issues contemplated by Diploma level students.
Shane
Shane completed his apprenticeship in 1984 as a mechanical fitter and turner and then later as an automotive mechanic. Shane has continued to expand his knowledge by completing studies in automotive air conditioning and currently works part time for a leading automotive repair workshop by undertaking complex diagnostic activities which he shares with our students.
Our Campus

The Campus has professionally appointed air conditioned classrooms with free WiFi access.
All students can make use of the College lunchroom breakout facility including the tea and coffee making facilities, tutorial support area and amenities including disability access.
BPC ensures each student has a positive learning experience by ensuring each Trainer’s qualifications and knowledge remain up to date with the latest industry standards. The student’s learning experience is facilitated using various training and assessment delivery techniques accompanied by a range of learning resources, including but not limited to:
- LED displays in each classroom for viewing powerpoint presentations
- Whiteboards
- Comfortable seating and suitable study desks
- Adequate lighting
- Audio visual support
- Wireless internet
- Associated training aids including a range of library resources
