Carlos

Carlos has been working in the automotive repair industry since 1980. Carlos completed his apprenticeship with Mercedes Benz in South Africa and since qualifying as an automotive mechanic continued to further his knowledge by completing studies in air conditioning, automotive electrical and heavy vehicle mechanics.

Nicolas

Nicolas has been an automotive mechanic since completing his apprenticeship with Honda and Mercedes Benz in 1996.  Following his apprenticeship, Nicolas continued his studies in automotive by completing studies in air conditioning technology and heavy vehicles.  

Geoff

Geoff completed his apprenticeship with Jaguar and Land Rover and continued his automotive experience by establishing a successful automatic transmission repair workshop.  Following three decades of repairing automatic and manual transmissions, Geoff was appointed the area manager for the Institute of Automotive Mechanical Engineers before joining BPC as an automotive trainer.

David

David is a qualified automotive engineer who later complemented his tertiary qualifications in business. David continues to stay up to date by assisting workshops with complex vehicle faults and assisting apprentices and trainees to understand the complex nature of vehicle diagnostics and engineering issues contemplated by Diploma level students.

Shane

Shane completed his apprenticeship in 1984 as a mechanical fitter and turner and then later as an automotive mechanic.  Shane has continued to expand his knowledge by completing studies in automotive air conditioning and currently works part time for a leading automotive repair workshop by undertaking complex diagnostic activities which he shares with our students.

Sam

Sam is a highly accomplished Chef and has been working as a qualified Chef since 2005 across many different sectors including the Hilton Hotel group and local restaurants and cafes around Brisbane.  Sam continues his love of food by sharing his wealth of experience with our students and developing new and exciting dishes.

Sam is dedicated to helping students find their love for food by encouraging them to seek out opportunities in the local Brisbane hospitality scene.

Andrew

Andrew completed his apprenticeship as a Chef at Royal on The Park, under the guidance of Executive Chef, Greg Devine.  After completing his apprenticeship, Andrew was accepted by the Galway Harbour Hotel in Galway, Ireland to develop his understanding of European cuisine where he worked his way up through the ranks to Sous Chef under Noel Brennan.  Upon returning to Australia, Andrew took positions within hotels and restaurants around Brisbane including Spoon on James Street, Hydeout Yeronga and Brisbane Brew House until he landed his pinnacle job as the Executive Chef for the Mantra Hotel Group (Brisbane region).

Following his tenure with Mantra, Andrew joined Matt Moran with the Solotel Group before turning his hand to training up-and-coming Chefs.  Andrew continues to engage with the hospitality industry by working with dieticians to develop specific meal and dietary plans for their clients and providing mentoring and coaching of Chefs at various hospitality venues across Brisbane.

Shaun | Hospitality Industry Consultant

Shaun qualified as a Chef in 1991 in London.  After migrating to Australia, Shaun has worked in numerous leading restaurants around Brisbane prior to accepting the Executive Chef role with Venu Plus Management which operates the Beach House Restaurants, Madame Wu and Chu the Phat in West End.
Shaun provides support to Sam through ongoing coaching and mentoring as well as master classes for our students in our commercial kitchen.  Shaun also provides students with opportunities to work in his restaurants across Brisbane and ongoing employment for students seeking a supportive hospitality employer.
